Welcome!
The word Corroboree is an aboriginal word for
a gathering or meeting. It is also a place for kids and adults
to learn about frogs, wetlands and each other, in their backyards
and across the seas. Teachers can request information about how
to register their class to join the Corroboree.
In Australia, lives a tiny yellow
and black endangered frog called the Southern
Corroboree Frog and it is also a symbol
of our web
site wetlands studies signifying the need for young people
and adults to work together to understand and protect the
habitats
of all species.
In Oregon,
U.S.A. and Victoria, Australia, teachers and
learners from many schools are involved in the design and development
of this website. Here they will gather to exchange ideas
and data on their school's science inquiry projects which
focus
on wetlands.
Funding
for Corroboree was provided to Oregon State University Extension
4-H from the Cooperative States Research, Education, and Extension
Service (CSREES) in cooperation with U.S. Land-grant institutions
to support the National
Initiative to Internationalize Extension to strengthen
the international dimension of state extension services nationwide.
